The client came to us with "the worst backyard in the neighborhood".  We created a outdoor space that he can relax in and enjoy with friends and neighbors.  We created a patio with a seat wall, lighting in the wall and minimal turf and plants for a minimum maintenance landscape.

Building a outdoor living space that includes; enlarging the patio be installing pavers, creating a seat wall, installing a fire pit, building a BBQ enclosure, installing landscape lighting along the path and in the wall.  Making an area an enjoyable outdoor space.

This was a fun and challenging project.  There was very limited access to the back yard so all large plant material, gravel, and stone had to be flown in by crane.

Facelift to an old patio.

Remodel of an old composite deck.  The old decking was removed, a retaining wall was installed and pavers placed.  A brick oven was also installed.  All of the material for the installation had to be craned to the patio area.

We were asked be the owner to design and build a more efficient landscape while incorporating a patio and fire pit.  While in the design process the path from the front door to the patio was planned along with lighting.

Home at Lake Catamount

This project has been another ongoing project.  Once again these owners are receptive and have creative ideas that make them fun to work with.

This was a great, fun project.  The owners are fantastic people.  When we were doing this project Jackie, the owner, would come out with home made food for lunch.  This project has it all; irrigation, water feature, gardens, lighting and lots on imagination.

Major redo of a landscape for a quaint home in Steamboat

This is a beautiful quaint home in Steamboat.  The home itself is designated a historic home site in Routt county.  The original landscape was done by a homeowner long ago and was failing.  The flagstone patios had sunk and all the runoff was going towards the home.  The front driveway was deteriorating was no long functional.

This home in Stagecoach did not have a back yard or any privacy from its neighbors.  We created a yard, a private space for their hot tub and and a functional landscape.

A custom built home in Stagecoach that was going to have some drainage issues and had no back yard.

The owner of this project contacted us after using other landscapers in the area and not getting what they wanted.  There is a huge ugly gray wall behind the hot tub and the owner wanted this to go away.  The gardens and the flagstone sit on a live roof.  The water feature in the corner produces just the right amount of sound and the light lights up the area perfectly.

Beautiful home at the top of the Catamount golf course.  Once again we maintain this property and keep doing up grades.  The owners are awesome and really enjoy their landscape.  We are building a rustic path over to a natural water feature on their land.

This was a fun project.  The owners are great, fun people and excellent to work with.  This has been an ongoing project for the last 5 years.  We installed a large pump in the pond to irrigate the lawn and garden areas and did so knowing it was going to expand.  We are now at 24 valves and counting.

This project has also been a work in progress through out the years.  The owner is one of the greatest ladies I have meet.  She lives in Texas, runs a huge ranch, and comes here to escape the heat.

Remodeling a Home in the Sanctuary in Steamboat Springs

Patio & Fire pit, good idea

The owner contacted us about this erosion problem.  Not only did we solve the problem but corrected the drainage and gave them a usable space.  When then created a patio and fire pit out front.

Smaller Home in Downtown Steamboat

This is a smaller home in Steamboat that wanted a Xeric (water conscious design) landscape that would require little maintenance and allow for future planting.  The project met and exceeded the owners wants, needs and budget requirements.  Future planting has already been discussed.

Reclamation on The Steamboat Ski area

The Steamboat Ski Area enlarged a ski run to make it a Racer Only run.  I-Design did the Storm Water Plan along with Wright Water Engineering.   I-Design then did the on going inspections compliance and help in consulting thought out  this project

Needed a step to the new pathway

These owners wanted to have a patio in the back with some lawn.  We solved a drainage issue in the corner roof load area and gave them exactly what they wanted.

The owners asked for a outdoor patio area that had a heat source.  They had a backyard that was unsustainable being that; this is their lake house and yard maintenance was not a priority, they did not want to stress the well by trying to water the turf area, a fire pit was not an option. After meeting the owners on site and coming up with some ideas the project has meet all the needs and desires.  Next year we add some plant material and shade sails while maintaining the view.

I’ve always dreamed of having a clean, modernist home, and I’m happy to say that Alice and her team at Atelier Cohen led the way to making that dream a reality! I couldn’t be more happy with the project, my house looks like it could be featured in a Kinfolk magazine.
